Cristian is the founder of radix.partners and consultant for advanced therapies operational value chain. A graduate of business administration he brings expertise in supply chain management, manufacturing and business operations across pharmaceuticals and biotech. He has a proven track record in scaling clinical to commercial operations, having led gene therapy manufacturing and supply chains through pivotal clinical trials and contributing to both EMA and FDA successfull approvals.
He spent the last 7 years at the forefront of operational excellence in clinical and commercial cell and gene therapy oeprations, designing and integrating end-to-end processes and systems for smooth execution, working collaboratively to enhance efficiency and streamline operations to deliver strategic results that scale whilst reducing cost, truly unlocking the wider operational value chain, delivering impactful solutions to current industry challenges whilst inovating for the future.
Sebastian Mayer

Contract Development & Manufacturing Operations
Trained as a Protein Engineer with a doctorate from University of Cambridge and nearly two decades of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, Sebastian has built a strong foundation in external supply chain management and contract manufacturing, Over his extensive career at GSK, Sebastian worked in various pivotal roles, including leading parts of the GMP operations for the Cell & Gene Therapy platform and successfully managed partnerships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) across GMP-compliant plasmid manufacture, cell banking, and lentivirus manufacturing. His responsibilities also included overseeing contracts, timelines, budgets, and ensuring best in class project management - an area in which he holds a PMP certification.
Beyond cell and gene therapy, Sebastian has worked across diverse range of therapeutic platforms, including antibody fragments, antibody fragment-peptide fusion proteins, and targeted nanoparticles. he has extensive experience in external collaborations, working closely with business development, compliance, legal, and intellectual property team to drive strategic outsourcing initiatives.
He now brings his wealth of experience to operations consultancy. His extensive background in cell and gene therapy, process development, and external collaborations positions him as a trusted advisor in helping companies navigate the operational complexities of 3rd party selection and key raw materials sourcing and drive innovative solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of advanced therapies.
